Mrs. Teresa Price

As I begin my fourth year as principal of TSFES, I can confidently say this incredible school feels like home. Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of getting to know our amazing students, families, staff, and community. Together, we have celebrated successes, embraced challenges, and continued the long-standing tradition of excellence that makes TSFES such a special place.

This year, we are excited to build on that momentum with a schoolwide focus on thinking. Inspired by our professional learning around Building Thinking Classrooms, our goal is to create classrooms where students are curious, collaborative, and confident problem-solvers. We want every child to ask thoughtful questions, explain their thinking, learn from mistakes, and discover that productive struggle leads to meaningful learning. When students learn how to think, rather than simply what to think, they develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

For those who are new to our Tiger family, I'd like to share a little about myself. I am a proud graduate of Pinellas County Schools, having attended Dunedin Elementary, Dunedin Middle, and Dunedin High School. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and my master's degree from the University of Phoenix. My husband and I have been married for 30 years after meeting as students at Dunedin Middle School, and we are proud parents of three wonderful children.

As an educator with nearly 30 years of experience, I have served in a variety of educational leadership roles, each strengthening my belief that every child deserves an engaging, challenging, and supportive learning environment. My philosophy centers on developing the whole child by providing high academic expectations while fostering kindness, resilience, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning.

At TSFES, we honor the traditions that have made our school one of the highest-performing elementary schools in Florida while continually seeking innovative ways to prepare students for the future. We believe academic excellence and character development go hand in hand. Our dedicated teachers and staff work each day to inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, collaborate effectively, and become compassionate leaders within our community.

A strong partnership between school and home is essential to every child's success. I encourage all families to stay actively involved by communicating with teachers, participating in school events, volunteering when possible, and celebrating learning both at school and at home. Together, we can provide every student with the encouragement and opportunities they need to reach their fullest potential.

Thank you for choosing Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School. It is truly an honor to serve as your principal, and I am excited for another year of learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, welcome to the Tiger family. I look forward to an outstanding school year as we continue thinking, learning, and growing together.
