Fourth Grade Teachers

Mrs. Lisa Montie

I'm Lisa Montie, and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade Math and Science at Tarpon Fundamental. This will be my 23rd year teaching full time in Pinellas County. Most of my teaching career has been spent with 4th and 5th graders. Originally from Pennsylvania, I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University. My husband, Rob and I moved to the East Lake area over thirty years ago and consider Florida home. We enjoy spending time with our two children, Rent and Luka. Our daughter, Luka, is a senior at East Lake High School. I also enjoy doing things outside, like walking our dog, running, biking, and enjoying the waves at the beach. 

As a teacher, I think it's important for all students to feel special and valued in the classroom. Working in a comfortable environment, students are more willing to take academic risks and work hard to achieve their personal goals.  

Ms. Summer Renedo

Hello, my name is Summer Renedo, and I’m delighted to teach fourth grade at Tarpon Fundamental Elementary School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida and later completed a Master’s in Elementary Education with a reading and literacy specialization, also at UF.  I have 25 years of teaching experience, including six years of teaching grades 3–5 at Deer Park Elementary in Pasco County.

Outside of school, I enjoy home improvement projects, cooking, cheering for college football (Go Gators!), and spending time with my family. I’m also the mom of twin boys who are in kindergarten at this school.

Helping students grow, making learning engaging, and creating lasting classroom memories are the reasons I love teaching. I feel fortunate to be part of this wonderful school community, and I’m excited for another fantastic year at Tarpon Fundamental.
