Media Center Schedule

The Media Center operates on a flexible schedule designed to support classroom instruction and student learning. Each year, teachers are provided with a sign-up schedule that assigns a biweekly 30-minute block. This time includes digital responsibility and media literacy lessons aligned to grade-level standards, as well as AASL, ISTE, NETS, and Florida B.E.S.T. standards, along with class book checkouts and makerspace activities that encourage creativity and hands-on learning.

Kindergarten students enjoy a weekly read-aloud experience in addition to their book checkout time, helping to build early literacy skills and a love of reading. Teachers may also bring their classes to the Media Center for additional book checkouts, makerspace exploration, research, or information literacy lessons by reserving time with Mrs. Morris, our Library Media Specialist.
